حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ شَيْخٍ سَمَّاهُ عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ النَّحَّامِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُؤَذِّنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ
سَلَّمَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ بَارِدَةٍ وَأَنَا فِي لِحَافِي فَتَمَنَّيْتُ أَنْ يَقُولَ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ قَالَ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُ عَنْهَا فَإِذَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ أَمَرَهُ بِذَلِكَ

English Translation
Nuʿaym ibn al-Naḥḥām رضي الله عنه said: I heard the muʾadhdhin of the Prophet ﷺ on a cold night while I was in my blanket, and I wished he would say: "Pray in your dwellings." When he reached "Come to success" (ḥayya ʿalā al-falāḥ), he said: "Pray in your dwellings." Then I asked about it, and indeed the Prophet ﷺ had ordered him to do that.
