حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ فَيْرُوزَ الدَّيْلَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُمْ أَسْلَمُوا وَكَانَ فِيمَنْ أَسْلَمَ فَبَعَثُوا وَفْدَهُمْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِبَيْعَت
ِهِمْ وَإِسْلَامِهِمْ فَقَبِلَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْهُمْ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَحْنُ مَنْ قَدْ عَرَفْتَ وَجِئْنَا مِنْ حَيْثُ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ وَأَسْلَمْنَا فَمَنْ وَلِيُّنَا قَالَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ قَالُوا حَسْبُنَا رَضِينَا

English Translation
Yazīd ibn ʿAbd Rabbih narrated to us, he said: al-Walīd ibn Muslim narrated to us, he said: al-Awzāʿī narrated to us, from ʿAbdullāh ibn Fayrūz al-Daylamī, from his father, that they accepted Islam — and he was among those who accepted Islam — so they sent their delegation to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ with their pledge of allegiance and their Islam. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ accepted it from them. They said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, we are whom you know, and we have come from where you know, and we have accepted Islam. So who is our guardian?' He said: 'Allāh and His Messenger.' They said: 'That is sufficient for us; we are pleased.'
