English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, he said: Abū Jaʿfar ʿUmayr ibn Yazīd narrated to me, al-Ḥārith ibn Fuḍayl and ʿUmārah ibn Khuzaymah ibn Thābit narrated to me, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Qurād, who said: I went out with the Prophet ﷺ for Ḥajj. He said: I saw him come out from the privy, so I followed him with the water vessel — or the cup. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, when he needed to relieve himself, would go far away. So I sat for him on the path until the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ returned. I said to him: 'O Messenger of Allāh, the wuḍūʾ water.' So the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ came to me. He poured water on his hand and washed it, then he cupped his palm and poured water on one hand, then he wiped over his head, then he scooped water with one hand, then he wiped over his head, then he scooped water with his hand and struck it on the top of his foot, wiping his hand over his foot. Then he came and led us in the Ẓuhr prayer.
