English Translation

Hushaym narrated to us, Khālid informed us, from Abū Qilābah, from Kaʿb ibn ʿUjrah, who said: I had so many lice that I thought every hair on my head had lice from root to tip. the Prophet ﷺ commanded me when he saw that. He said: 'Shave.' And the verse was revealed. He said: 'Feed six needy persons three ṣāʿs of dates.'
