حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ بَكْرَ بْنَ عَ
بْدِ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ خَصْلَتَانِ لَا أَسْأَلُ عَنْهُمَا أَحَدًا مِنْ النَّاسِ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَلَهُمَا صَلَاةُ الْإِمَامِ خَلْفَ الرَّجُلِ مِنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى خَلْفَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ رَكْعَةً مِنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ وَمَسْحُ الرَّجُلِ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ

English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us, Saʿīd narrated to us, he said: I heard Bakr ibn ʿAbdullāh narrating from al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah رضي الله عنه who said: Two matters about which I will not ask anyone — I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do them: The imām praying behind a man from his congregation — and I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray behind ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwf one rakʿah of the Fajr prayer. And a man wiping over his leather socks — and I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wipe over the leather socks.
