حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ وَسُفْيَانُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ

صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي حَتَّى تَرِمَ قَدَمَاهُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ فَقَالَ أَوَلَا أَكُونُ عَبْدًا شَكُورًا

English Translation

Wakīʿ narrated to us, from Misʿar, and Sufyān, from Ziyād ibn ʿIlāqah, from al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah: the Prophet ﷺ used to pray until his feet became swollen. It was said to him, and he said: 'Should I not be a grateful servant?'
