English Translation
Aswad ibn ʿĀmir narrated to us, Sharīk narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from Khaythamah, from Ibn Maʿqil, from ʿAdī ibn Ḥātim رضي الله عنه who said: the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Protect yourselves from the Fire.' He turned his face away until we thought he was looking at it, then said: 'Protect yourselves from the Fire' — he said it two or three times — 'even with half a date; if you cannot find that, then with a good word.'
