حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْ
بَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَاعْمَلُوا خَيْرًا وَافْعَلُوا فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَعْقِلٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَدِيَّ بْنَ حَاتِمٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Abū Isḥāq, who said: 'Protect yourselves from the Fire, do good, and act [righteously], for I heard ʿAbdullāh ibn Maʿqil saying: I heard ʿAdī ibn Ḥātim رضي الله عنه saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: Protect yourselves from the Fire even with half a date.'
