English Translation
Abū Murrah, the freed slave of Umm Hāniʾ, narrated that he entered with ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr upon his father ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ. ʿAmr brought food for them and said: 'Eat.' ʿAbdullāh said: 'I am fasting.' ʿAmr said: 'Eat, for these are the days that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command us to break fast in and forbid us from fasting in.' Mālik said: They are the days of Tashrīq (the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Ḥijjah).
