Hushaym narrated to us, from Yazīd ibn Abī Ziyād, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylā, from al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib رضي الله عنه who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'It is part of the duty upon Muslims that one of them bathe on Friday and touch some perfume if his family has any. If they have no perfume, then water is the best perfume.'
