English Translation
Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd narrated to us: Sufyān narrated to us: Abū Isḥāq narrated to me, saying: A man said to al-Barāʾ: "O Abū ʿUmārah, did you flee on the Day of Ḥunayn?" He said: "No, by Allah! the Prophet ﷺ did not flee. Rather, the hastiest of the people fled, and Hawāzin met them with arrows. I saw the Prophet ﷺ on his white mule with Abū Sufyān ibn al-Ḥārith holding its bridle, and he was saying: I am the Prophet ﷺ, no lie. I am the son of ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib."
