Hadith #229

حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُطَرِّفٌ عَن أَبِي
الْجَهْمِ عَن الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ إِنِّي لَأَطُوفُ عَلَى إِبِلٍ ضَلَّتْ لِي فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَنَا أَجُولُ فِي أَبْيَاتٍ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِرَكْبٍ وَفَوَارِسَ إِذْ جَاءُوا فَطَافُوا بِفِنَائِي فَاسْتَخْرَجُوا رَجُلًا فَمَا سَأَلُوهُ وَلَا كَلَّمُوهُ حَتَّى ضَرَبُوا عُنُقَهُ فَلَمَّا ذَهَبُوا سَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ فَقَالُوا عَرَّسَ بِامْرَأَةِ أَبِيهِ

English Translation
Asbāṭ narrated to us: Muṭarrif narrated to us, from Abū al-Jahm, from al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib, who said: I was searching for some camels of mine that had strayed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I was wandering among some dwellings when suddenly a group of riders and horsemen came and circled around my courtyard. They pulled out a man and, without asking him anything or speaking to him, struck his neck. When they left, I asked about him. They said: He had consummated a marriage with his father's wife.
