حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ ضِرْغَامَةَ بْنِ عُلَيْبَةَ بْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ الْعَنْبَرِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ رَ
سُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْصِنِي قَالَ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَإِذَا كُنْتَ فِي مَجْلِسِ قَوْمٍ فَسَمِعْتَهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا يُعْجِبُكَ فَأْتِهِ وَإِذَا سَمِعْتَهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا تَكْرَهُ فَاتْرُكْهُ

English Translation
Rawḥ narrated from Qurrah ibn Khālid, from Ḍirghāmah ibn ʿUlaybah ibn Ḥarmalah al-ʿAnbarī, who said: My father narrated to me, from his father, who said: 'I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, advise me." He said: "Fear Allah. And when you are in a gathering of people and you hear them saying what pleases you, then stay. And when you hear them saying what you dislike, then leave."'
