English Translation

Ḥasan ibn Mūsā narrated from Rāfiʿ ibn Salamah al-Ashjaʿī and Sālim ibn Abī al-Jaʿd, from his father, who said: Salamah ibn Nubayṭ al-Ashjaʿī narrated to me that his father had met the Prophet ﷺ and had been riding behind his father during the Farewell Pilgrimage. He said: 'I said: "O father, show me the Prophet ﷺ." He said: "Stand up and hold the middle of the saddle." So I stood and held the middle of the saddle. He said: "Look at the one on the red camel, gesturing with his hand — in his hand is a riding stick."'
