‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنِي ‏ ‏شُعْبَةُ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏أَنَّهُ ‏ ‏شَهِدَ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ‏ ‏بِالْبَطْحَاءِ ‏ ‏رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَالْعَصْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ عَنَزَةٌ يَمُرُّ مِنْ وَرَائِهَا الْحِمَارُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ ‏

English Translation

Wahb ibn Jarīr narrated from Shuʿbah, from ʿAwn ibn Abī Juḥayfah, from his father, that he witnessed the Prophet ﷺ pray the Ẓuhr at al-Baṭḥāʾ two rakʿahs and the ʿAṣr two rakʿahs, with a short spear (ʿanazah) before him, and donkeys and women would pass behind it.
