حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ يَعْمَرَ الدِّيلِيَّ يَقُولُ شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّه
ُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ بِعَرَفَةَ وَأَتَاهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ نَجْدٍ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ الْحَجُّ فَقَالَ الْحَجُّ عَرَفَةُ فَمَنْ جَاءَ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ مِنْ لَيْلَةِ جَمْعٍ فَقَدْ تَمَّ حَجُّهُ أَيَّامُ مِنًى ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ { فَمَنْ تَعَجَّلَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ وَمَنْ تَأَخَّرَ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ } ثُمَّ أَرْدَفَ رَجُلًا خَلْفَهُ فَجَعَلَ يُنَادِي بِهِنَّ

English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated from Sufyān, from Bukayr ibn ʿAṭāʾ al-Laythī, who said: I heard ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Yaʿmar al-Dīlī say: 'I witnessed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was standing at ʿArafah, and people from Najd came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, how is the Ḥajj [performed]?" He said: "Ḥajj is ʿArafah. Whoever comes before the Fajr prayer on the night of Jamʿ [Muzdalifah], his Ḥajj is complete. The days of Minā are three days: 'whoever hastens in two days, there is no sin on him; and whoever delays, there is no sin on him' [2:203]." Then he had a man ride behind him, and he began calling out [these rulings].'
