حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ
أَبِي لَيْلَى يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُكَيْمٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قُرِئَ عَلَيْنَا كِتَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَرْضِ جُهَيْنَةَ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ شَابٌّ أَنْ لَا تَسْتَمْتِعُوا مِنْ الْمَيْتَةِ بِإِهَابٍ وَلَا عَصَبٍ

English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated from Shuʿbah, from al-Ḥakam, who said: I heard Ibn Abī Laylā narrating from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUkaym, who said: 'The letter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was read to us in the land of Juhaynah — and I was a young lad — that: "Do not make use of anything from a dead animal, neither its hide nor its sinew."'
