حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ جُنْدُبٍ أَنَّ النَّ

بِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ الْفَرَطُ الَّذِي يَسْبِقُ

English Translation
Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah narrated from ʿAbd al-Malik ibn ʿUmayr, who heard Jundub say that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'I am your advance-guard (faraṭ) at the Ḥawḍ [Pool].' Sufyān said: Al-faraṭ is the one who goes ahead.
