English Translation
Abū Nuʿaym narrated to us, Misʿar narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Jabbār ibn Wāʾil who said: My family narrated to me, from my father, who said: the Prophet ﷺ was brought a bucket of water. He drank from it, then spat [the remaining water] into the bucket and poured it into the well — or he drank from the bucket, then spat into the well — and it exuded a fragrance like musk.
