Hadith #465

English Translation

ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us, Sufyān informed us, from ʿĀṣim ibn Kulayb, from his father, from Wāʾil ibn Ḥujr who said: I saw the Prophet ﷺ pronounce the takbīr and raise his hands when he entered the prayer. He raised his hands when he bowed, and he raised his hands when he said: 'Allah hears the one who praises Him.' He prostrated and placed his hands level with his ears. Then he sat and spread his left foot, then placed his left hand on his left knee and placed his right forearm on his right thigh. Then he pointed with his index finger and placed his thumb on his middle finger, clenching the rest of his fingers. Then he prostrated, and his hands were level with his ears.
