حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْف

َرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَهْوَنَ أَهْلِ النَّارِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَرَجُلٌ يُوضَعُ فِي أَخْمَصِ قَدَمَيْهِ جَمْرَتَانِ يَغْلِي مِنْهُمَا دِمَاغُهُ

English Translation

Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us: Shuʿbah informed us who said: I heard Abū Isḥāq say: I heard al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr رضي الله عنه while he was delivering a sermon, saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Indeed, the lightest in punishment among the people of the Fire on the Day of Resurrection is a man who will have two embers placed on the arches of his feet, from which his brain will boil.'
