English Translation

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, al-ʿAlāʾ ibn Ṣāliḥ narrated to us, from ʿAdī ibn Thābit, Abū Rāshid narrated to us who said: ʿAmmār ibn Yāsir gave us a sermon and kept it brief. A man from Quraysh said to him: 'You have spoken words of healing. If only you had lengthened it.' He said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from lengthening the sermon.'
