حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ فَاتِكِ بْنِ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ أَيْمَنَ بْنِ خُرَيْمٍ قَالَ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَس
َلَّمَ خَطِيبًا فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عَدَلَتْ شَهَادَةُ الزُّورِ إِشْرَاكًا بِاللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ قَالَ { اجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنْ الْأَوْثَانِ وَاجْتَنِبُوا قَوْلَ الزُّورِ }

English Translation
Marwān ibn Muʿāwiyah narrated to us, Sufyān ibn Ziyād informed us, from Fātik ibn Faḍālah, from Ayman ibn Khuraym who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood to deliver a sermon and said: 'O people, false testimony has been equated with associating partners with Allah عز وجل' — three times. Then he recited: {Avoid the abomination of idols, and avoid false speech} [22:30].
