English Translation
Muʾammal narrated to us: Sufyān narrated to us, from Abū Farwah, from al-Shaʿbī, from al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr رضي الله عنه who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between them are doubtful matters. Whoever leaves what he suspects to be sinful has left what is clearly sinful even more so. And whoever takes the courage to commit what he is doubtful about is liable to commit what is clearly prohibited. And whoever grazes around the sanctuary is liable to enter it.'
