Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي عَقِيلٍ قَاضِي وَاسِطٍ عَنْ سَابِقِ بْنِ نَاجِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ قَالَ مَرَّ رَجُلٌ فِي مَسْجِدِ حِمْصَ فَقَالُوا هَذَا خَادِمُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَال
َ فَقُمْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ حَدِّثْنِي حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَتَدَاوَلُهُ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ الرِّجَالُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَقُولُ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ وَحِينَ يُمْسِي ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيًّا إِلَّا كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُرْضِيَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

English Translation
Aswad ibn ʿĀmir narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Abū ʿAqīl — the judge of Wāsiṭ — from Sābiq ibn Nājiyah, from Abū Sallām, who said: A man passed through the mosque of Ḥimṣ, and they said: "This one served the Prophet ﷺ." He said: I went up to him and said: "Tell me a hadith you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that has not been passed between you and him through other men." He said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "No Muslim servant says in the morning and in the evening three times: 'I am pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion, and with Muḥammad ﷺ as Prophet,' except that it is a right upon Allah to please him on the Day of Resurrection."
