حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي عَقِيلٍ هَاشِمِ بْنِ بِلَالٍ عَنْ سَابِقِ بْنِ نَاجِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ قَالَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ الْحَبَشِيُّ قَالَ مَرَّ بِهِ رَجُلٌ فِي مَسْجِدِ حِمْصَ فَقِيلَ هَذَا خَدَمَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللّ
َهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ حَدِّثْنِي حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَتَدَاوَلْهُ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ الرِّجَالُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَقُولُ حِينَ يُمْسِي وَحِينَ يُصْبِحُ رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيًّا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ إِلَّا كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُرْضِيَهُ

English Translation
Hāshim ibn al-Qāsim narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Abū ʿAqīl Hāshim ibn Bilāl, from Sābiq ibn Nājiyah, from Abū Sallām — Abū al-Naḍr said: al-Ḥabashī — who said: A man passed by him in the mosque of Ḥimṣ, and it was said: "This one served the Prophet ﷺ." So he went to him and said: "Tell me a hadith you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that has not been passed between you and him through other men." He said: I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying: "No servant says in the evening and in the morning: 'I am pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion, and with Muḥammad ﷺ as Prophet' three times, except that it is a right upon Allah to please him."
