حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْ
هِ وَسَلَّمَ قُرَيْشًا فَقَالَ هَلْ فِيكُمْ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ قَالُوا لَا إِلَّا ابْنُ أُخْتِنَا وَحَلِيفُنَا وَمَوْلَانَا فَقَالَ ابْنُ أُخْتِكُمْ مِنْكُمْ وَحَلِيفُكُمْ مِنْكُمْ وَمَوْلَاكُمْ مِنْكُمْ إِنَّ قُرَيْشًا أَهْلُ صِدْقٍ وَأَمَانَةٍ فَمَنْ بَغَى لَهَا الْعَوَائِرَ أَكَبَّهُ اللَّهُ فِي النَّارِ لِوَجْهِهِ

English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, Sufyān narrated to us, from Ibn Khuthaym, from Ismāʿīl ibn ʿUbayd ibn Rifāʿah, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gathered Quraysh and said: "Are there among you any who are not of you?" They said: "No, except our sister's son, our ally, and our freed slave." He said: "The son of your sister is from you, your ally is from you, and your freed slave is from you. Quraysh are people of truthfulness and trustworthiness. Whoever seeks to bring calamity upon them, Allah will cast him into the Fire on his face."
