حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ قَالَ خَيْثَمَة

ُ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ كَرَجُلٍ وَاحِدٍ إِذَا اشْتَكَى رَأْسُهُ اشْتَكَى كُلُّهُ وَإِنْ اشْتَكَى عَيْنُهُ اشْتَكَى كُلُّهُ

English Translation

Wakīʿ narrated to us: al-Aʿmash narrated to us — Khaythamah said — from al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr رضي الله عنه who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The believers are like a single person: when his head complains, the whole of him complains; and when his eye complains, the whole of him complains.'
