حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ ع
َبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَجَلِيِّ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ اشْتَرِطْ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ تَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَتُصَلِّي الصَّلَاةَ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ وَتُؤَدِّي الزَّكَاةَ الْمَفْرُوضَةَ وَتَنْصَحُ لِلْمُسْلِمِ وَتَبْرَأُ مِنْ الْكَافِرِ

English Translation
Jarīr ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Bajalī narrated: I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, stipulate your conditions upon me.' He said: 'You worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, establish the prescribed prayers, pay the obligatory zakāh, be sincere to every Muslim, and disassociate from the disbeliever.'
