حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَرْبِ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَسْلَمْتُ وَعَلَّمَنِي حَتَّى عَلَّمَنِي الصّ
َلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسَ لِمَوَاقِيتِهِنَّ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ إِنَّ هَذِهِ لَسَاعَاتٌ أُشْغَلُ فِيهَا فَمُرْنِي بِجَوَامِعَ فَقَالَ لِي إِنْ شُغِلْتَ فَلَا تُشْغَلْ عَنْ الْعَصْرَيْنِ قُلْتُ وَمَا الْعَصْرَانِ قَالَ صَلَاةُ الْغَدَاةِ وَصَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ

English Translation
Surayj ibn al-Nuʿmān narrated to us, Hushaym narrated to us, he said: Dāwūd ibn Abī Hind informed us, he said: Abū Ḥarb ibn Abī al-Aswad narrated to me, from Faḍālah al-Laythī رضي الله عنه who said: I came to the Prophet ﷺ and accepted Islam, and he taught me until he taught me the five prayers. I said to him, 'These are times when I am busy, so command me with comprehensive prayers.' He said to me, 'If you are busy, then do not miss the two ʿAṣr prayers.' I said, 'And what are the two ʿAṣr prayers?' He said, 'The Fajr prayer and the ʿAṣr prayer.'
