حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ مِنْهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ وَالْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ يَقُولَانِ سَمِعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي الصَّرْفِ إِذَا كَانَ يَدًا بِيَدٍ فَلَا بَأْسَ إِذَا كَانَ دَيْنًا فَلَا يَصْلُحُ
English Translation
Zayd ibn Arqam and al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib narrated: We heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say regarding currency exchange: 'If it is hand-to-hand, there is no harm. But if it is on credit, it is not permissible.'
