Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ لَقِيتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ كَمْ غَزَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
قَالَ تِسْعَ عَشْرَةَ قُلْتُ كَمْ غَزَوْتَ أَنْتَ مَعَهُ قَالَ سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ غَزْوَةً قَالَ فَقُلْتُ فَمَا أَوَّلُ غَزْوَةٍ غَزَا قَالَ ذَاتُ الْعُشَيْرِ أَوْ الْعُشَيْرَةِ

English Translation
Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that i met Zayd ibn Arqam and asked him: 'How many expeditions did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fight?' He said: 'Nineteen.' I said: 'How many did you fight with him?' He said: 'Seventeen expeditions.' I said: 'What was the first expedition he fought?' He said: 'Dhāt al-ʿUshayrah — or al-ʿUshayrah.'
