حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي حُصَيْنٌ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي السَّفَرِ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا الشَّعْ

بِيَّ سَمِعَ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ بِنَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ الْأَجْرُ وَالْمَغْنَمُ

English Translation

ʿUrwah ibn Abī al-Jaʿd narrated from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'Goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection — reward and spoils.'
