قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي طَلْحَ

ةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَأْكُلْ بِشِمَالِهِ وَإِذَا شَرِبَ فَلَا يَشْرَبْ بِشِمَالِهِ وَإِذَا أَخَذَ فَلَا يَأْخُذْ بِشِمَالِهِ وَإِذَا أَعْطَى فَلَا يُعْطِي بِشِمَالِهِ

English Translation
ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Ṭalḥah narrated: the Prophet ﷺ said: 'When one of you eats, let him not eat with his left hand. When he drinks, let him not drink with his left hand. When he takes, let him not take with his left hand. And when he gives, let him not give with his left hand.'
