حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ قَالَ ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبَسَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ و

َسَلَّمَ قَالَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَجَوْفُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرُ أَجْوَبُهُ دَعْوَةً قُلْتُ أَوْجَبُهُ قَالَ لَا بَلْ أَجْوَبُهُ يَعْنِي بِذَلِكَ الْإِجَابَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبَسَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

English Translation

ʿAmr ibn ʿAbasah narrated from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'The night prayer is two by two, and the last part of the night is the most likely to have duʿāʾ answered.' I said: 'The most likely (awjabuhu)?' He said: 'No, rather the most answerable (ajwabuhu)' — meaning in terms of response.
