حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بُرْقَانَ عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ اخْتَصَمَ رَجُلَانِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَرْضٍ أَحَدُهُمَا مِنْ أَهْلِ حَضْرَمَوْتَ قَالَ فَجَعَلَ يَمِينَ أَحَدِهِمَا قَالَ فَضَجَّ الْآخ
َرُ وَقَالَ إِنَّهُ إِذًا يَذْهَبُ بِأَرْضِي فَقَالَ إِنْ هُوَ اقْتَطَعَهَا بِيَمِينِهِ ظُلْمًا كَانَ مِمَّنْ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَا يُزَكِّيهِ وَلَهُ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ قَالَ وَوَرِعَ الْآخَرُ فَرَدَّهَا

English Translation
Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī narrated to us, from Jaʿfar ibn Burqān, from Thābit ibn al-Ḥajjāj, from Abū Burdah, from Abū Mūsā, who said: Two men disputed before the Prophet ﷺ over a piece of land, one of them being from the people of Ḥaḍramawt. He ruled that one of them should take an oath. The other protested and said: 'Then he will take my land!' He [the Prophet ﷺ] said: 'If he seizes it by his oath unjustly, then he will be among those whom Allah عز وجل will not look at on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and for them is a painful punishment.' He said: The other man became fearful [of Allah] and returned the land.
