حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ

أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تُسْتَأْمَرُ الْيَتِيمَةُ فِي نَفْسِهَا فَإِنْ سَكَتَتْ فَقَدْ أَذِنَتْ وَإِنْ أَبَتْ لَمْ تُكْرَهْ

English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, Yūnus ibn Abī Isḥāq narrated to us, from Abū Burdah, from Abū Mūsā, who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'An orphan girl must be consulted regarding herself. If she remains silent, that is her consent. If she refuses, she shall not be compelled.'
