حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ قَيْسًا يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ الصُّنَابِحِيَّ الْأَحْمَسِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ أَلَا إِنِّي فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ وَإِنِّي مُكَاثِرٌ بِكُمْ الْأُمَمَ فَلَا تَقْتَتِلُنَّ بَعْدِي
English Translation
Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us, from Ismāʿīl, that he heard Qays say: I heard al-Ṣunābiḥī al-Aḥmasī say: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Indeed, I am your forerunner at the Pool (al-Ḥawḍ), and I will boast of your great numbers over the other nations, so do not fight one another after me.'
