حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنِ ابْ
نِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى يَقُولُ قَدِمْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَسَعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ يَعْنِي فِي الْعُمْرَةِ وَنَحْنُ نَسْتُرُهُ مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ أَنْ يُؤْذُوهُ بِشَيْءٍ

English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, from Ibn Abī Khālid who said: I heard ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Awfā رضي الله عنه say: We arrived with the Prophet ﷺ and he performed ṭawāf around the House and saʿī between al-Ṣafā and al-Marwah — meaning during the ʿUmrah — and we were shielding him from the polytheists so that they would not harm him with anything.
