حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَا ثَنَا هِشَامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ ر
َسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ خَيْرُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ الْقَرْنُ الَّذِي بُعِثْتُ فِيهِمْ قَالَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ الَّذِينَ بُعِثْتُ فِيهِمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَنْشَأُ قَوْمٌ يَنْذُرُونَ وَلَا يُوفُونَ وَيَخُونُونَ وَلَا يُؤْتَمَنُونَ وَيَشْهَدُونَ وَلَا يُسْتَشْهَدُونَ وَيَنْشَأُ فِيهِمْ السِّمَنُ

English Translation
Abd al-Malik ibn ‘Amr and Abd al-Samad both said: Hishām narrated to us: Qatādah narrated to us, from Zurārah ibn Awfā, from ‘Imrān ibn Husayn, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: The best of this nation is the generation in which I was sent. Abd al-Samad said: in which I was sent among them. Then those who follow them. Then there shall arise people who make vows and do not fulfill them, who betray and are not trusted, who testify without being asked to testify, and obesity shall appear among them.
