English Translation
Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, Sufyān narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from Khaythamah, from al-Ḥasan, that ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn said: He passed by a storyteller who recited the Quran then asked people for money. He said ‘Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn’ and said: ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever recites the Quran, let him ask Allah عز وجل by it, for there will come people who recite the Quran asking people by it."’
