English Translation
Abū Saʿīd, the freed slave of Banū Hāshim, narrated to us, he said: Zuhayr — meaning Ibn Muʿāwiyah — narrated to us, he said: al-Aswad ibn Qays narrated to me, he said: Jundub ibn Sufyān narrated to me, he said: We went on the ḥajj and a man from among us entered iḥrām. Then ʿUmar رضي الله عنه changed the ruling, saying: We narrate to you from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and you narrate to us from Abū Mūsā! And he narrated to them from the Prophet ﷺ. Abū Mūsā said regarding what was narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'Whoever comes with an intention of ḥajj or ʿumrah, let him remain in his iḥrām until he completes both ḥajj and ʿumrah.' So a man came while having entered iḥrām for ḥajj. ʿUmar said: The Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ have informed us differently. He said: And this was from ʿUmar
