حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَن عَمْرِو بْنِ
أَبِي عَمْرٍو عَن الْمُطَّلِبِ عَن أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ دُنْيَاهُ أَضَرَّ بِآخِرَتِهِ وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ آخِرَتَهُ أَضَرَّ بِدُنْيَاهُ فَآثِرُوا مَا يَبْقَى عَلَى مَا يَفْنَى

English Translation
ʿAbd al-Ṣamad narrated to us, he said: my father narrated to us, he said: Abū Maslamah Saʿīd ibn Yazīd narrated to us, from Abū Naḍrah, from Abū Saʿīd, from the Prophet ﷺ — the same was narrated to us by ʿAffān, he said: Hammām narrated to us, he said: Qatādah narrated to us, from Abū Naḍrah, from Abū Saʿīd — and from Abū Burdah, from his father, from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'When I sent Abū Mūsā and Muʿādh ibn Jabal to Yemen, I said to them: Make things easy and do not make them difficult, give glad tidings and do not drive people away. And every intoxicant is forbidden.'
