English Translation
Yazīd narrated to us, Bahz ibn Ḥakīm informed us, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: I said: ‘O Prophet of Allāh, our women — what may we approach of them and what must we avoid?’ He said: ‘Your tilth — approach your tilth however you wish, but do not strike the face, do not revile, and do not abandon except within the house. And feed when you eat, and clothe when you clothe yourself. How [can you mistreat her] when you have been intimate with one another, except for what is lawful regarding her?’”
