English Translation

Yaḥyā narrated to us, from Bahz, who said: My father narrated to me, from my grandfather, who said: I said: ‘O Messenger of Allāh, we are a people who ask one another for wealth.’ He said: ‘One of you may ask in times of calamity or disaster, to make reconciliation among his people. Once he has attained what is needed — or nearly so — he should refrain.’”
