حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ وَأَحْسَنَ الثَّنَاءَ عَلَيْهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَوْ عَ
مِّهِ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلْنَاهُ عَنْ قَدْرِ رُكُوعِهِ وَسُجُودِهِ فَقَالَ قَدْرُ مَا يَقُولُ الرَّجُلُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ ثَلَاثًا

English Translation
Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd al-Raḥmān al-Ṭufāwī narrated to us, Sa‘īd al-Jurayrī narrated to us, from a man of Banū Tamīm — and he praised him well — from his father or his uncle, who said: I prayed behind the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, and we asked him about the duration of his bowing and prostration. He said: About the time it takes for a man to say ‘Subḥān Allāh wa biḥamdihī’ three times.
