حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ ثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَن أَبِي بَلْجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَن أَبِيهِ

عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَكَرَ الطَّاعُونَ فَقَالَ وَخْزٌ مِنْ أَعْدَائِكُمْ مِنْ الْجِنِّ وَهِيَ شَهَادَةُ الْمُسْلِمِ

English Translation
Hushaym narrated to us, he said: Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, and ʿAlī ibn al-Mubārak, from Yaḥyā ibn Abī Kathīr, from Abū Qilābah, from Abū Mūsā that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The plague is martyrdom for my ummah, and a mercy for them, and a punishment for the disbelievers.'
