Hadith #415
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَل
ِكِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ احْضُرُوا الْجُمُعَةَ وَادْنُوا مِنْ الْإِمَامِ فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَخَلَّفُ عَنْ الْجُمُعَةِ حَتَّى إِنَّهُ لَيَتَخَلَّفُ عَنْ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّهُ لَمِنْ أَهْلِهَا

English Translation
Surayj ibn al-Nu‘mān narrated to us, al-Ḥakam ibn ‘Abd al-Malik narrated to us, from Qatādah, from al-Ḥasan, from Samurah, who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Attend the Jumu‘ah and sit close to the imām, for a man continues to fall behind from the Jumu‘ah until he is placed behind in Paradise, even though he is among its people.”
