حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَوَادَةَ الْقُشَيْرِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ
سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ أَذَانُ بِلَالٍ وَلَا هَذَا الْفَجْرُ الْمُسْتَطِيلُ وَلَكِنْ الْفَجْرُ الْمُسْتَطِيرُ وَأَوْمَأَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا وَأَشَارَ يَزِيدُ بِيَدِهِ الْيُمْنَى

English Translation
Yazīd ibn Hārūn narrated to us, Shu‘bah informed us, he said: I heard Sawādah al-Qushayri narrating from Samurah ibn Jundub, from the Prophet ﷺ who said: ‘Do not let the adhān of Bilāl deceive you, nor this elongated dawn — but (wait for) the dawn that spreads (horizontally) across the horizon.’ And he gestured with his hand like this, and Yazīd gestured with his right hand.
