Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَارِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مَعْقِلِ ب
ْنِ يَسَارٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْبَقَرَةُ سَنَامُ الْقُرْآنِ وَذُرْوَتُهُ نَزَلَ مَعَ كُلِّ آيَةٍ مِنْهَا ثَمَانُونَ مَلَكًا وَاسْتُخْرِجَتْ { لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ } مِنْ تَحْتِ الْعَرْشِ فَوُصِلَتْ بِهَا أَوْ فَوُصِلَتْ بِسُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ وَيس قَلْبُ الْقُرْآنِ لَا يَقْرَؤُهَا رَجُلٌ يُرِيدُ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى وَالدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ إِلَّا غُفِرَ لَهُ وَاقْرَءُوهَا عَلَى مَوْتَاكُمْ

English Translation
It was narrated from Maʿqil ibn Yassār that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Al-Baqarah is the hump (sanām) and pinnacle (dhurwah) of the Qurʼān. With every verse of it, eighty angels descended. And ‘Ayat al-Kursī was drawn out from beneath the Throne and joined to it — or joined to Sūrat al-Baqarah. And Yā-Sīn is the heart of the Qurʼān. No man reads it seeking Allah tabāraka wa-taʿala and the Last Abode except that he is forgiven. And recite it over your dying.”
